Are you actually the real you?

Follow your inner moonlight; don't hide the madness.”
― Allen Ginsberg

You can't come and kill yourself, if you are mad be mad! (further translation provided below)

Whatever is inside of you, do you see it as your truth or an embarrassment. This is the question that brings you to the understanding of who you truly are. Are we honest about our desires, voices and ways. Or are you concerned about how you will be viewed?

How To Spot Red Flags

I’ve ignored a lot of red flags in my life. A lot of signs that were telling of the situations to come, which if I had listened to, could have saved me a lot of unnecessary emotions. But at that time, I wasn’t equipped with the knowledge I have now. I guess I had different ideas of what I wanted in my life. Especially romantically. And that’s what this blog post is going to address.

Relationships; necessity or option?

A woman's position in a relationship is often ridiculed by society, seeing us as the inferior, submissive 'house wife'. Then there's the other side of society that think there's something wrong with women who aren't 'house wife' material, you know uninterested, independent, bold, someone whose priorities and pursuits do not revolve around men.

It's all a bit too controversial in my opinion. You can't please anyone, but you can definitely be pleased with the decisions you make.

Who you keep in your circle

A question one doesn't often ask themselves is...what are the mediocre things in my life right now?

What lacks effort?
Why can I only see half an empty cup?
What is preventing your flowers from growth?

It can sometimes be right in front of you, all around you....

It can simply be the people you choose to be in your life. Your friends.

Have you bought into the Hollywood love lie?

Growing up, the notion of romantic love that was portrayed through film, poetry, novels – and practically the majority of media sources – was always incredibly idealistic. I was always in awe of what it would feel like one day when it happened to me. There were several myths that I realised were often portrayed about love. And one of them was that love is supposed to make you crazy.

You hear about it all the time in films. “I can’t breathe when I’m not around her”. Or “I just act so crazy with him”, or “he brings out my wild side!”. And it all seems to insinuate that a person is not whole unless the other completes them.

A man vs a 'boy'

There is a great disparity between a man and a boy.
And there is a great disparity between maturity and immaturity.
Everyone has great advice, but no one really gives advise that counts, advice that was personal and honest, stripped of their 'perfectness'.
